Flights out of Auckland Airport ended up delayed following a safety “breach” on Sunday afternoon.

An Auckland Airport spokesperson said security processing at the airport was briefly shut down.

All worldwide departures from the airport ended up held up for about thirty minutes, as travellers stood waiting to be processed.

“Aviation safety had a breach, so that halted screening and as a end result also held up worldwide flight departures,” the spokesperson claimed.

“Now it can be all been fixed.”

The spokesperson failed to have any further more details about the breach or how several flights ended up afflicted.

A traveller contacted Stuff expressing the strains ended up “massive” through the safety shut-down.

The airport’s Aviation Security Services has been contacted for comment.
